I recently saw this question in Yahoo! Answers that read:

How to tilt or adjust the angle of patio umbrella?

And the best answer was

Just press the button and tilt the top to whichever direction you want.

Saved me from taking my “auto tilt” back to the store. Turned out to be a collar tilt. Think the patio shop would know that.

I have a tilting umbrella with a missing piece at the joint which prevents the umbrella from tilting when I don’t want it to. How do I go about finding a new one of those? I bought it at Sears and they didn’t have a replacement part, so I’m perusing the Internet.

    I believe it’s a collar tilt.

I have an octagonal autotilt 9 ft aluminum umbrella that flopped over during a high wind. I closed it to keep it from flopping over again and now it won’t open or stay up. How can I repair this? It is from Woodard.

I have a perfectly good umbrella, however the push button tilt part on the post does not hold any longer, can I purchase this part and repair or do I need a new post.
